Did I mention I was in Florida, the sunshine state??

At least I’m warm. I’m at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park; what a lovely place (of course it’s a little hard to see from the underside of a umbrella). Did I mention I’m warm??

I’m headed to a Rialta rally in Panama City Beach today. What’s that? Did I mention I am traveling in a little cult mobile? Yep. A 2004 HD Volkswagen/Winnebago Rialta. Cutest little motorhome you will ever see. 22 foot, self-contained, 18 MPG (better mileage than my daily ride 😔). So, every year in PCB they have a rally and Rialtas from around the country show up to show off. This will be my first. Going to the rally was tempting, the location sealed the deal. Did I mention it’s raining? Constantly? Forecast says until Sunday when I head for home. Did I mention I’m warm?

So, today I’m traveling. Actually, I’ve been traveling for a few days now. Decided it was time to go to Florida since spring break is over and the traffic’s not so crazy. So far it’s rained pretty much every day but it beats the snow I left behind. I’ll take 60-70° over 30 any day. Yesterday I got to watch the Blue Angels practice at Pensacola Field while exploring Ft. Pickens. It was rainy and cloudy but I was able to get some pictures. Today I watched them practice again while dolphins swam in the bay. Two shows for the price of one – I’m a cheap date.
